Dear Friends
Things are going well at TheEndTimesProject.com. There have been many contacts from across the spectrum of beliefs. Many who have arrived at a Post-trib/Pre-wrath Rapture conclusion through their own personal study of Gods word express jubilation at finding a site filled with information that soundly supports that position. Others who arrive with a Pre-trib mindset find enough information to cause them to reconsider their position. The pamphlet concerning the problems with an imminent, pre-trib return of Christ http://revelationstation.com/pamphlet1.html gets the same response, along with a few hard-liners who e-mail their brilliant contortions of scripture to try and set me straight.
This is all well and good, but it is not about triumphing in the war of ideas and gaining bragging rights. Its about preparing individuals and the Church for the times ahead. The more Christians are aware of the Post-trib Rapture and everything that goes along with it, the more they will be prepared to live through it. Notice I didnt say die in it. Yes, many will die. Mostly in the Middle East regions where Islam reigns, but Christian revival will explode there and many of those new Christians will gladly lay down their lives for their new Lord knowing that the end is so near rather than bow to Islam and the beast once more.
There is another group of people who are reaching this site, and some are initiating contact. They are Muslims.
- That brings me to the most important part of this letter. Prayer. Pray for Gods leading in this project, and His blessing on all we do.
Pray for this site and the books that their reach will increase and be found by all who need to find them. Pray for every person who logs on to the site that they will be led of the Lord to that information that will help bring them into a proper understanding of prophecy and the reasons for the events of the end times. Pray for JW, (initials only) a brilliant Muslim that has made contact. He is trying to wrap the scriptures into Islam in a subordinate manner. Pray that the spirit of truth will rise up out of his heart and change his thinking. This is the biggest request of all. There are over one billion Muslims in the world. Pray and stand in agreement that one hundred million Muslims will turn from Islam and receive Christ, either directly or indirectly, through the truths that are being revealed on this site.

The remainder of this letter will focus on how to discern where we are as far as prophecy is concerned. Unlike many ministries which gravitate towards sensationalism and hyperbole, I would like to dampen the hype about the imminent (next couple of days or next couple of years) return of Christ. Some like to point to every deed of man and cry out He must be coming soon because of this evil deed or that one over there. The world that we live in has always been filled with evil. In fact, a case could be made for a better world today than at various times in the past if you look at some of the good things that are happening and contrast them to the darker ages of mankind. Im not going to try and make that case because I know that along with all the good that we see there is an accompanying move towards unrepentance in those who love sin and reject God.
- The most overt signs that I look for are as follows:
- A temple in Jerusalem.
- How penetrating has world revival been to date?
- What progress has been made in building the port city of Babylon of Revelation 18?
- What is happening in those Middle East countries which will eventually be the main supporters of the anti-Christ?
- What about the current war between Israel and Hebollah?
This letter was prepared before war broke out. The final item was added to address that issue.
1. The TempleCurrently there is no temple in Jerusalem. There are many who pray, plan and put forth theories on how to get a new temple built. Occasionally you hear a rumor about how the materials have already been shaped and prepared for the new temple and sit idly waiting to be put into place. There is little doubt that if not for the Muslim Dome of the Rock sitting at approximately where many believe the temple should be, there would be a new temple already. One Jewish-American author ( http://www.excel.net/~hoy/temple.htm ) suggests that the Ezekiel 40-48 temple could be built in the narrow space along side the Muslim dome nearly touching wall to wall.
However, the fact remains that there is no temple and it could even be the anti-Christ who orders the building of the temple during the first half of Daniels seventy weeks. He will have control of the ten Muslim nations that surround Israel and it may take a Muslim to allow for what would otherwise be considered the desecration of the Muslim holy site where Muhammad is believed to have ascended into heaven to pray with Jesus. In light of these things the building of a temple may not serve as a sign that Daniels seventieth week is approaching, but rather a confirmation that it has already arrived. The latter would be true only if there is already an established seven year peace covenant at the time.
But wait! Is there more than meets the eye in the eventual rebuilding of the temple? Are we missing something very important? In a future article titled Are The Dome Of The Rock And The Western Wall Part Of The Temple Complex Or Has History Lost The True Site? I will explore some historical facts that may eventually lead to the rebuilding of the temple in a slightly different location.
2. RevivalThere is no way that we can tell for certain how far world revival has penetrated into all the world. There are too many factors to be considered. It is not just how many are getting saved in a particular country or region, but how many have heard and hardened their hearts. How many received the Word with joy, but when persecution and troubles arise for the Word sake they turn from it. On top of that, I believe that the full gospel will be preached to all the world before the end comes. In other words, not just salvation through Jesus Christ, but the infilling of the Holy Spirit, the many benefits of righteousness, how to serve God and live life by faith in God, and even the truth of the end times. Only then will Christians be prepared for the Tribulation, and only then can each person be held fully responsible for their rejection of Gods ways. Despite all of that, it is a very encouraging sign when we see some of the things that are happening for the furtherance of the gospel.
In America even actors and politicians are rising up to be counted for Christ. They are aligning their actions with the Word of God and facing down the persecutions. (Dont be fooled though, by those who talk of God and even pray for His blessings, but continue on in their ungodly activities.) Churches, web sites and ministries spring up daily, and many lives of those who seemed so disinterested are being changed by acting on the word of truth. America boasts a large Christian population, but many people are only now awaking to the truth of what Christianity really isan interactive relationship with God and His word, and a life of service towards Him.
In the central west African nation of Nigeria revival is sweeping the land faster than a wind driven brush fire in the drought stricken Serengeti plans. The country is right on the divide between Muslim populated North Africa and the south. Nigeria has over 130 million people and claims 61 million Christians, but that only accounts for 40 percent of the population. Roughly 50 percent of the country is Muslim and 10 percent is other. Once a month Rev. Adeboye ministers to over 300,000 in his all night Pentecostal revivals. The revival that has been spreading throughout Nigeria has become a world reaching phenomenon with a declared goal of reaching 50 million souls. Africa has been one of the most evangelized continents in the world during the last century. Today they send missionaries to around the world, including the United States. And they are bold to proclaim the gospel and bold in prayer. There are many stories that come out of the African continent of both great and some times quiet revival.
In Europe, where God has been declared dead, it takes the power of the Holy Spirit to break through the humanistic remains of cold dead religion, and that is happening.
Likewise, in South America where Roman Catholicism and pleasures of the flesh fight for the attention of many, it takes more than just a religion, but a new life in Christ. Revivals, small and large, are breaking out all over South Amerca.
Seoul, South Korea is home to the largest single church in the world where Rev. Yonggi-Cho ministers to over 800,000 each week. You may have noticed that many Baptist churches in America hold Korean services before or after their regular services.
China sits below Russia, and North Korea sits like an atheistic iron mountain between China and the revival of South Korea, but that has not stopped the spread of the gospel in China. In China, where Christianity is outlawed, the government has come to realize that Christians are good for business. They work hard, they make the boss look good, they pay their bills, they require fewer government services and they stay out of trouble. Consequently, Christianity is allowed to flourish, with some persecution, as long as it remains underground.
Russia became a much more open and searching nation with the fall of communism, but there is a slow creep right now back to the way things were. The Russian people were raised to be untrusting of everything but the government that was misleading them. Consequently it takes time for many of them to accept the gospel while others long for Mother Russia to once again care for them. God tore down the iron curtain in the early 90s and many Christian organizations rushed in. The seeds have been planted by training local leaders and the gospel is piped in through different technological means.
The Middle East, including much of North Africa, is an exciting story. In a land where conversion from Islam is a death sentence, many individuals are seeking answers and committing their lives to Christ over the internet. Other major ministries report that their TV broadcasts are being picked up in Middle Eastern nations, and they have no idea how it is happening. As Muslims leave their homes in the Middle East and travel to places like America, they are suddenly free to entertain ideas that are forbidden back home. Many return home with a purpose; to quietly lead their friends and families to the Lord. Others choose to work from the outside preaching the gospel to Muslims outside the grip of the Iron Fist of Islam or by working to discredit Islam and its practices.
Despite all the good news, I believe that we are only headed in the right direction with a good distance left to go before the Great Commission is completed. I further believe that this is not just a period of revival that will slack in the future with other revivals left to come. New Christians are being trained with purpose to go out and live a life of faith and evangelism. Only God will know for certain when the work that He has commissioned is finally completed.
3. BabylonToday Ancient Babylon sits to far inland (300 Miles) and is to inactive to become the port city of Babylon described in Revelation 18 without major dredging of the Euphrates River and a sustained building program. The Iraqi port of Umm Qasr is the main port of Iraq at this time, and is part of a complex of ports and government installations that sit just inside Iraq in the Euphrates Delta. This complex includes the Iraqi Coast Guard, Navy, Port Authority and Ministry of Transportation. Together these different organizations are working towards the day when this port complex becomes a global port. The ports are very actively supporting the U.S. military and the rebuilding of Iraq. However, this will all come to an end one day, but not without a plan for the future.
To qualify as a global port it must acquire an International Ship and Port Facility Security Code ISPS certification. This certification requires the highest of security measures to combat terrorism by detecting and deterring threats to international security.
George Bush stated early on his desire to see a Middle East free trade zone with Iraq at the very heart of things. With the dredging, fortification, rebuilding and modernization of these facilities, they could become the Babylon of the twenty-first century. In time it could transform everything between the old and the new Babylon to make it a sprawling modern metropolis in the very cradle of civilization, tied directly to the first great city, Babylon.
One way or another the Revelation 18 Babylon will be built in Iraq and will play a major role in the world economy and in the plans of the Satan and the anti-Christ as they attempt to exert as much control around the world as possible through trade, war, terror and religion.
4. The Middle East, including North Africa and parts of AsiaWhen Tony Blair appeared with President Bush in a joint press conference he noted that the enemy knows why they are fighting and then asked the question, Do we? If you dont know heres the answer. Muslims are fighting for the will of Allah. The Quran declares Muhammad to be the final prophet and Islam to be the final religion. And many Muslims draw from the Quran the guidance and encouragement they need to fight to the death, if necessary, to spread the theopolitical institution of Islam. It has been said by Middle East leaders that they can afford to lose the next 100 wars with Israel because all they need is to win one war and Israel will be no more. Muslims maintain a long term horizon and mindset when it comes to waging jihad. They know that all they have to do is persevere and even if it takes a thousand years they will eventually win. They made considerable inroads into Southern Europe in the past through war and conquest only to be turned back during the the last 500 or so years. They are gaining ground once again through immigration, integration and terror. Immigration and integration usually happen quietly over the years. However, if we recall the pre-election subway bombs in Spain and how the expected outcome swung in favor of the terrorist wishes we can see that terrorism can be quite effective when people lack resolve and foresight.
In North Africa the percentage of Muslims in every country is nearing 100 percent; that is, except for Sudan where it is only 73 percent. Sudan just happens to be where a government declared genocidal jihad was declared in 1989, and has been raging since. About two million Christians have been slaughtered or made refugees for simply being Christians. However, It was not until the Darfur region genocide, where Government backed Muslims are killing non-government sanctioned Muslims, that the world sat up and took any interest.
In Somalia the population is statistically 100 percent Muslim. So where did all of the other religions go. They were forced to convert or be killed just like whats happening in Sudan. Despite being 100 percent Muslim, pro-U.S. Muslim forces were just recently forced from the capitol, Mogadishu, by Al Qaida aligned forces under the guise of restoring peace and stability.
Other Middle East and North African nations are more subtle about the elimination of non-Muslims. They close their eyes or secretly support those who are carrying out atrocities because it is to politically sensitive to be seen supporting such things. And when it comes to supporting jihad outside their own boarders there always seems to be a will and a way to get it done.
Saudi Arabia has made minor changes to the books used by its school curriculum eliminating some of the violent overtones of the past, but claims that it cannot do it all at once. Saudi school books teach the Wahhabi version of Islam, which is one of the most violent sects of Islam. Several years ago Saudi school books teaching jihad and hatred of Jews and Christians were being used in the US just outside of Washington DC in private Islamic schools. With some pressure being applied over the years they have moderated the language somewhat, but Islam is anti-Jewish and anti-Christian at its core, thus making the new books anti-Islam to those Muslims who hold to a the more virulent strain of Islam. Even Osama bin Laden has weighed in by way of audio tape, warning against US interference with the school Curriculum.
Osama bin Laden, who still enjoys high poll ratings among Middle Easterners, has named the U.S., Canada, Britain, Spain and Australia as five Christian nations that should be targets of terror. When the anti-Christ arrives on the scene he will be similar to bin Laden, but maybe more like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who woes crowds of the faithful (hateful) all over Iran that rival those of the pope. But while the pope preaches love, temperance and tolerance, too many Muslim leaders in the Mid East are preaching hatred and destruction of any that are different from themselves.
Saudi royalty has had to do a high wire act over the last few years to remain in control. If they lean to far in the direction of the West those clerics who practice the most stringent form of Islam and the people that they command will likely overthrow the monarchy. The success of their school based training is becoming more evident each year in Saudi Arabia as more and more plots are hatched to disrupt, terrorize and even overthrow the government. While demonizing Jews, Christians and the West in general the Saudi government is creating its own worst enemy, and it comes in the form of undiluted Islam.
Saudi Arabia and Iran have both promised the Palestinian Authority $100 million dollars each to help cover the cost of running their governmental structure and to pay civil servants. The US has hampered the flow of resources to the PA until it recognizes Israel as a state and its right to exist. Muslims around the world generally support the rights of the Palestinians above the existence of Israel and would blame the US for the failure of the Palestinian state under this scenario.
The Palestinian Authority is split down the middle between Fatah and Hamas with each controlling separate territories, and many believe that a mini-civil war could break out at any time over the different views of the two factions. PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas favors a vote on relations with Israel. However, the recent Israel incursion into the Gaza Strip to free a kidnapped Israeli soldier could turn things around and galvanize the Palestinians against Israel.
Taliban Commander Mullah Zadalla claims the Taliban has regained control of all the southwestern provinces of Afghanistan. Afghanistan is a part of the former divided Greek Empire that will make up the future kingdom of the beast. There are still many in this, and other Middle East region countries, who long for the glory days of fundamental Islamic inhuman brutality and terror under Taliban rule. There are still many who long for true peace, freedom and security in these countries, but the Bible makes it clear that the blood of Jesus is the only thing that will bring them peace and security, but it may come at the cost of their lives.
Iran has been organizing an informal Middle East axis against the West referred to by Israel as the new axis of terror. Syria and some in Iraq along with groups like Hizbullah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad are willing participants. The unifying factor in this alliance is a hatred of the US and Israel. Iran has also called for a strengthening of a much broader axis against the west which includes nations such as Russia, China and Iran. There has been increased cooperation between these nations in recent years through arms deals, and other trade agreements.
On April 3,2006 Russia's Novaya Gazeta newspaper reported that after the breakup of the Soviet Union about 250 nuclear warheads which were deployed to the Ukraine, and were scheduled to be returned to Russia, are now believed to be in Iran. These warheads will remain operational until 2010. Despite this revelation Russia continues to straddle the fence on Iran's nuclear aspirations. Having a need for international business, Russia desires to be the sole provider of nuclear technology for Iran's domestic needs and must be forced into dealing with the reality of Irans persistence in diverting nuclear fuel and equipment towards military (nuclear bombs) uses. Iran claims this to be a peaceful energy based initiative, which seems ludicrous when you consider they sit on top of the worlds largest natural gas reserves.
In the mean time, Russia is under contract to deliver $700 million worth of air defense systems to Iran even as the US is petitioning the UN for sanctions against Iran and considering possible air attacks against Irans nuclear infrastructure. China recently signed a $70 Billion deal to develop one of Irans oil fields bringing a significant flow of resources to Iran for the furtherance of their anti-Western build up, and clouding Chinas judgment on whether to hinder Irans nuclear aspirations or not. Iran has been bankrolling much of the North Korean missile program with the agreement that Iran will receive missiles and the newly developed technologies in exchange.
(The self-serving self-interest of countries like China, Russia and North Korea supports two key assertions in the KINGDOM OF THE BEAST AND THE END OF THE WORLD. There will not be a one world government, and there will be other regional conflicts taking place while the world at large is focused primarily on the ten nations of the beast attacking Israel.[Just like W.W. II but worse.])
A military installation has been operational in Iran to recruit and train suicide bombers. The Lovers of Martyrdom Garrison has been actively forming a Martyrdom-seeking Division for each province in the country, organized in brigades, battalions and companies to defend Islam. Weekly advertisements appear in the hard-line weekly Parto Sokhan as part of a recruitment drive for suicide volunteers in this martyrdom brigade.
In December of 2005 Iranian President Ahmadinejad called the Holocaust a "myth" used by Europeans to create a Jewish state in the heart of the Islamic world. He denies the death of 6 million Jews and then turns it all around and blames Europe and the US for the Holocaust, saying that if they committed the crime they should be the ones to provide land for an Israeli state.
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute says that the Middle East is recording the highest increases in military spending around the world, led by Saudi Arabia with a $4.6 billion increase from the previous year. In total the Middle East spends more on weapons than anywhere else in the world. At the same time there are so many military allegiances being formed that it is hard to keep track of all of them. And non-Muslim nations such as the U.S., Britain and Israel are right in the middle of it.
The U.S., Britain and Israel along with countries like China, Russia and North Korea are arming the Middle East for the last jihad. It may make sense from a current affairs world security point of view to balance out the perceived strength of the Middle East nations because, for the most part, they are not friendly neighbors, and their own jihadists are more than willing to topple any government in order to replace it with something worse. But from an anti-Israeli and end times perspective it just means that when the end arrives the Muslim Arab world is going to be so well armed and trained that if you drop a match on it it will explode. During the 80s the U.S. supported Saddam Hussein as Iran tried to capture Iraq. During the 90s the Clinton Administration provided Nuclear technology and billions of dollars to North Korea hoping to appease them. Both of these actions backfired on us, and eventually, so will the rest of this madness.
5. War in Israel
Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
All these things must come to pass? Wars that must come to pass? But why? What exactly does this mean?
Before 9/11 there were people all over the world who played the game of willful ignorance when it came to evil. They refused to accept it or even admit that it existed. After 9/11 those same people slowly began to admit that it did exist. It existed in the hearts of people, and it even existed in the form of religion. Since that time the world has finally awaken to the fact that Islam presents a problem to world peace and security and individual liberties. The Church, although it continues to embrace the the ideas of Revised Rome, evil popes and one world governments, likewise has awaken to the menace of Islam and the need to reach the Middle East with the gospel.
It is in times of war and other tragedies that people are able to get past their own fleshly and worldly desires and finally feel things on a much deeper level in their spirits. That is one of the reasons that God allows the tragedies of life to come upon individuals, regions and nations. Its only through despair that some people are finally able to let go of all pride and get down on their knees and cry out to God. (God does not bring the tragedies. Satan causes much of the tragedies of life but we sometimes cause our very own tragedies. God, when invited through prayer, will turn what is meant for evil into something good.)
With most wars there is usually a clearly defined line between the side of good and the side of evil (in some cases not so clear), and there is always some one ready to blur the differences. In the current conflict Israel finally reacted to the antagonism and threats that have been coming from Hezbollah for years, and what is important is the perceptions, rhetoric, actions and alignments that are taking place as a result.
Trying to blur the lines are those who have vowed to destroy Israel, who take Israels withdraw from occupied territories as a sign of weakness and retreat, have been arming themselves and training for offensive warfare and terrorism, who use terror tactics to obtain political goals, and have been attacking and antagonizing Israel for years. Who then turn everything around and put the blame on Israel when she defends herself. Different Muslim leaders are encouraging Muslims to be incensed and offended by the audacity of Israel to attack a Muslim country. They call forth new recruits to the jihad against all that stand in the way of Islam as a world order.
Others who are not of the Muslim faith vilify Israel for destroying property and killing innocent civilians; ignoring the fact that Hezbollah purposefully infiltrates into the population as a cowardly means of self-preservation, that Israel always forewarns civilians of its advances, that the Lebanese people and government have not taken steps to contain or eradicate Hezbollah, and that Hezbollah is raining rockets into Israel, not with any military objectives, but to kill Israeli civilians.
If you carry things out a little further by tying Israels current military actions into the global war on terror, you have people who say Were never going to win the war on terror. What is implied, but rarely ever said is, If you cant win why even try. When you get to the center of where they are coming from you find that they are either antiwar, supposing that even defensive wars are acts of evil. This line of thinking is equivalent to saying were never going to defeat crime so why have a police force. Or they have a higher concern for their own current state of peace and prosperity, and dont want to mess things up by poking a stick in the hornets nest by aiding others in their struggle to be free.
Currently there are nations in the Middle East who will be part of the KINGDOM OF THE BEAST who are working with the U.S. and other countries to try and bring peace and stability even to Israel. In Iran there are rumblings and protests from the people over the way they are forced to live their lives. The Iranian president has just banned the use of foreign words in conversation. If that doesnt ruffle the everyday common person nothing will.
The point of all of this is that there is still much unrest and discontentment with the way things are in the Middle East. The things that are happening now are necessary in bringing all these things out onto the world stage. Many hearts and minds are being influenced by what they see and hear as they make a choice between either the good or the evil. New openings are being created by the push and shove of Middle East conflict. Wouldnt it be great to see the power base of Iran switch hands as a result of international pressure over their support of Hezbollah? Lives are hanging in the balance and will go one way or the other because of the things that are happening right now.
The following link is to an MSNBC interactive map of the Middle East Islamic world. As you view it keep in mind that Islam does not flourish and spread without the heavy handed oversight of Islamic fundamentalism, Sharia Law, fear, intimidation and war. Those who oppose the creep of Islamic society as an all controlling factor in everyday life may view this map as they would the slow spread of an infection in the human body that eventually kills it, while those who embrace it might see it more like the TV ad with the drop of dish soap that causes grease to break up and flee from the initial point of contactthe soap being Islam and the grease being anything that gets in its way. Muhammads first battle was in 624 A.D. in Badr, eighty miles southwest of Medina. It was defensive in nature, but Muslims draw a sense of destiny from the retelling of it. When asked if any would fight with him, one of his followers replied, "We are not like Moses people to say, why don't you and your Allah fight. We will be to your right and to your left, behind you and in front of you." The Muslims, according to legend, were badly outnumbered, but delivered an astounding defeat to their enemies. That was just the beginning of what has become Institutionalized Jihad which has continued throughout the centuries, and will continue until Jesus returns with His saints to bring an end to all rule but His own.

Coming in future updates.
