A Glimpse of the Future, What Will THE KINGDOM OF THE BEAST Act like?
It has been more than 25 years since Ayatollah Khomeini toppled the Shah of Iran. After removing him from the helm of the Muslim nation, he declared the last Friday of Ramadan as an international day of struggle against Israel, with the destruction of Israel and the liberation of Jerusalem as the goal of that struggle.
Fast forward to the last Friday of Ramadan in 2005. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the freely elected president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is marching in the streets of Tehran with 200,000 of his fellow countrymen protesting the existence of Israel. Ahmadinejad made sure that his position was well understood by reading a resolution calling for the destruction of Israel. Israel was not the only country that was in the cross hairs of Ahmadinejad and his fellow protesters. The United States, along with all western governments were targeted for hate and destruction.
Protesters shouted Death to Israel and Death to America while some marchers wrapped themselves in white cloth to symbolize their willingness to die in the struggle.
Tehran wasnt the only city with marchers though. The same theme was repeated by millions of marchers all over Iran. Millions more marched throughout the Middle East.
All of this against a backdrop of growing democracy. The U.S. has seen to it that Iraq and Afghanistan have free elections. But there is a rising crescendo of calls for free elections in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, along with Iran and even Egypt are all working towards either first time elections or freer elections.
So what does all of this have to do with THE KINGDOM OF THE BEAST?
According to the Bible, all of these nations will submit to or be overrun by THE KINGDOM OF THE BEAST.
Again, how does all of this tie together?
The Bible tells us that the peoples of the nations who serve the beast will cast truth to the ground. It tells us that ten nations will willingly submit to him. Doesnt it make sense that these governments be serving the free will choice of the people when God judges them. Elections and referendums based on hatred of Israel and anyone else who serves the God of heaven. In the end, the beast will be the supreme leader of the nations that make up his kingdom, but it will be by the will of the people who look even now for someone to lead them against their infidel enemies.
But what is it that we keep hearing in the distance? Calls for peace with Israel from some of these same nations? That just tells us that the time is not yet here. The end has not yet come. There is much work to be done in that part of the world to reach out with the gospel to anyone who will listen. Oddly enough, that means everyone. Jesus said that the gospel would be preached to all mankind before the end comes.
Lets fast forward again. This time to the future; ten, twenty, maybe even fifty or a hundred years from now. Maybe with some of these very same marchers, or, at the very least, their descendants. Now the marches are larger with teeming millions. The marchers are not only willing, but they are anxious to shed blood and even spill their own blood. And all of the marchers have a mark on their foreheads or on their right hands. A mark that points to the beast. A mark that declares obedience and submission to the beast.
In the future, these organized marches through the city will spill into the homes of those who are known to not have the mark. A mark that is taken by choice. Never forced, but many feel that there is no choice, so they take it because of fear. That leaves those who still have a sense of humanity and a little bit of courage left in them. And those who were reached in the revival, having seen the Jesus and willing to die in righteousness rather than submit to a false god.
After the cities are cleansed of the unfaithful the marchers can march out of the cities and into the country sides. From there to the neighboring countries, and as far as they can march out into the rest of the world, until the skies temporarily go black before the presence of the Lord lights up the universe.
Where will you be if the future comes soon?
